WALCO Tool & Engineering is expanding its precision machining operations and requires a skilled CNC Maintenance Technician to support uptime, reliability, and performance across its advanced CNC equipment. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and ensuring consistent production flow in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this hands-on role, you will:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines and machining centers
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Respond quickly to machine breakdowns to restore production
• Support general facility maintenance when required
• Work closely with production, engineering, and operations teams
• Ensure machines are operating safely, efficiently, and at peak performance
• Lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs as needed

Machines, Systems & Equipment

You will work with and support:

• CNC Vertical & Horizontal Machining Centers
• CNC Turning Centers
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Electrical control systems and industrial wiring
• PLC-controlled machinery
• Standard industrial diagnostic and test equipment

Controls & Technical Systems

• CNC machine control systems (various platforms)
• PLC systems and troubleshooting tools
• Electrical schematics and machine diagnostics
• Mechanical drive systems and hydraulics

What We’re Looking For

Required

• 5+ years of CNC machine maintenance experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Solid understanding of CNC machine operation and design
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Experience working with PLC and CNC-controlled equipment
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and pride in workmanship

Preferred

• Experience in precision machining or job shop environments
• Background in preventive maintenance programs
• Exposure to multi-axis CNC equipment

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $32 – $36/hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Day Shift)
• Overtime: Available
