What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate CNC vertical milling machines (3-axis)
• Perform contour milling, drilling, boring, and tapping operations
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements
• Set offsets, verify setups, and ensure proper tooling selection
• Inspect your own parts using precision measuring tools
• Maintain tight tolerances and consistent part quality
• Monitor machine performance and keep equipment running efficiently
• Collaborate with supervisors, QC, and fellow machinists

Machines, Controls & Tools

You will work with:

• CNC Vertical Milling Machines (3-axis)
• Controls: Fanuc / Haas (or similar)
• Standard machining tools: calipers, micrometers, indicators, bore gauges
• Inspection-driven workflow with in-process quality checks

Materials You’ll Work With

• Aluminum
• Steel
• Stainless Steel

• Engineered alloys

What We’re Looking For

Required

• 2+ years of CNC vertical milling setup and operation experience
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding
• Working knowledge of G & M codes
• Experience machining steel, aluminum, and alloys
• Ability to perform machine setups and hold tight tolerances
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs
• Experience using standard inspection tools

Preferred

• Multi-shift or production machining experience
• Exposure to high-mix / precision job shop environments
• Strong setup and troubleshooting ability

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $22 – $30/hr (based on experience)
• Shift Differential: +10% for 2nd shift
• Schedule Options (2nd Shift):
  • 5x8 schedule OR
  • 4x10 schedule (based on availability)
