What you'll be doing

• Develop complete CNC programs for complex multi-axis milling and lathe applications, including low-volume/high-mix 5-axis programs for complex medical device components
• Use CAM software such as SolidCAM or Mastercam to drive production process design, tooling strategy, and machining optimization
• Support fixture design, GD&T interpretation, and troubleshooting of complex machining processes
• Develop and implement process improvements to raise productivity, quality, cycle time, and throughput
• Spend significant time on the shop floor working directly with engineering, operations, and production associates
• Review existing machining and manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste
• Support continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives, analyzing tooling, setups, and processing steps for optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with machinists, NC programmers, quality engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production supervisors to resolve production problems
• Lead cost-reduction and efficiency-improvement projects and demonstrate measurable results

Machines, controls and software

Core equipment is 4/5-axis milling and router work. CAM software experience with SolidCAM or Mastercam is required for this role; familiarity with Unigraphics/NX is a plus.

What we're looking for

Required

• High school diploma, with CNC program creation and CNC equipment setup experience
• A consistent track record developing CNC programs for complex geometries
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Engineering Technician
• Direct experience with machined-part manufacturing, in a production/shop-floor environment
• Demonstrated experience leading cost-reduction, efficiency, or process-improvement projects with measurable results
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with machinists and production personnel
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing problems and develop practical solutions
• Available for on-site work, 5 days a week

Preferred

• Experience working in a regulated industry and/or medical device company

Pay, benefits and schedule

This role pays $55,000–$80,000 per year, based on experience, and is full-time, on-site, 5 days a week.
