đ About Virnig Manufacturing
Virnig Manufacturing began in a two-car garage outside Pierz, Minnesota, in 1989. Dean and Lois Virnig initially repaired equipment for local farmers and construction companies, and the business grew through practical engineering, strong craftsmanship and dependable customer service.
Within five years, Virnig expanded into manufacturing skid-steer attachments and dump trailers. Continued growth led to a purpose-built manufacturing facility in Rice, Minnesota, followed by additional investments in automation, powder coating, engineering and production capacity. The company later added a Pikeville, Tennessee facility and, in 2025, acquired an 84,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Fort Madison, Iowa.
Today, Virnig designs and manufactures attachments for skid steers, compact wheel loaders, compact tractors and related equipment. Its operations support engineering, cutting, CNC machining, welding, assembly and finishing. The Fort Madison expansion gives machinists and manufacturing engineers the opportunity to help build a growing operation while contributing directly to durable products used in construction, agriculture, landscaping and material handling.

Virnig manufactures steel attachments and components for compact equipment. Depending on the role, work may include CNC and manual machining, complete machine setups, blueprint and CNC-program interpretation, tooling and offset adjustments, in-process inspection, equipment troubleshooting, fixture and tooling design, ERP routing, manufacturing automation and continuous improvement.
