🏭 About Triumph Group – North Wales

Triumph Group’s North Wales, Pennsylvania facility designs and manufactures highly engineered mechanical and electromechanical controls and components for demanding aerospace, defense, maritime, and industrial applications.

The 75,000 sq. ft. facility produces components including cable controls, cockpit controls, latches, hold-open rods, and remote valve operation products. The operation combines engineering, manufacturing, testing, and repair capabilities under one roof, supporting both build-to-print work and highly engineered products.

For CNC machinists, the North Wales operation offers something different from a typical high-volume production shop. The work is high-mix and low-volume, with machinists working across a variety of components, setups, and machining challenges.

The machine shop includes modern Haas CNC equipment along with traditional manual machining capabilities. Experienced machinists have the opportunity to use their knowledge of tooling, workholding, setups, troubleshooting, and machining processes rather than simply loading parts and running established cycles.

The facility is AS9100 Rev D and ISO 9001:2015 certified and operates within the quality requirements of the aerospace industry.

👍 Why you'll like working here

If you enjoy variety and want to be trusted as a skilled machinist, Triumph’s North Wales operation is worth a look.

This is a high-mix environment where setups change and machinists have the opportunity to solve problems. You’ll work with modern Haas 5-axis and live-tooling equipment in a clean, climate-controlled facility, with Engineering available when additional programming support is needed.

You also don’t have to be a CNC programmer to build a career here. Strong setup and machining skills come first. If you already have Mastercam or CNC programming experience, there are opportunities to put those skills to work as well.

The four-day Monday–Thursday schedule, optional Friday overtime, pension, 401(k), and annual union wage increases make the overall package especially attractive for someone looking for a long-term CNC machining career.

⚙️ What you'll be working on

Machinists at the North Wales facility support the manufacture of highly engineered mechanical and electromechanical components.

The work can involve CNC milling, 5-axis machining, CNC turning with live tooling, and manual machining. Experienced machinists may be responsible for selecting tooling, establishing workholding, setting up machines, making offsets and adjustments, troubleshooting machining issues, and producing parts from engineering drawings.

Programming exposure is available for machinists with that background, including Mastercam, but programming is not required for every CNC machinist opportunity.
