CNC Machinist Opportunities

Spirit AeroSystems is actively hiring 20–30 CNC Machinists to support continued production growth.

Position: CNC Machinist (Setup / Operator – No Programming Required)
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Overtime: Available during the week and on weekends
Union Shop: Yes (IAM)

Machinists at Spirit work on tight-tolerance aerospace and defense components, performing their own setups, machine operation, and in-process quality checks. Programming is not required, though setup training is available for candidates who are ready to advance their skills.

Spirit is open to junior through senior machinists, typically ranging from 1–10+ years of experience, as long as candidates have real-world CNC machining exposure.

Pay Structure (Hourly)

Pay is based on years of machining experience:

  • 1 year: $23.74/hr
  • 2 years: $24.42/hr
  • 3 years: $25.27/hr
  • 4 years: $26.12/hr
  • 5 years: $26.97/hr
  • 6 years: $28.15/hr
  • 7 years: $29.51/hr
  • 8 years: $30.53/hr
  • 9 years: $31.55/hr
  • 10 years: $32.56/hr
  • 11 years: $33.24/hr
  • 12+ years: Up to $39.04/hr

Relocation Assistance (Approved)

  • $4,000 – $10,000 lump sum, based on distance and family size
  • Paid 60–90 days after start date
  • Requires a 12- or 24-month commitment agreement
  • Repayment is prorated if the agreement is not fulfilled
