šŸ About Quantum Precision Inc.

Quantum Precision Inc. is a family-owned precision manufacturing company that has operated in West Chicago, Illinois, since 1995. The company specializes in medium- to high-volume CNC production machining while maintaining dedicated equipment for short-run jobs and changing customer requirements.

The shop combines multi-axis automatic CNC technology with traditional cam-operated screw machines, allowing its team to produce a broad range of precision components efficiently and consistently. Its machining capabilities are supported by engineering assistance, assembly, testing, and other value-added services.

Quantum Precision works with aluminum, carbon and alloy steels, stainless steel, brass, copper, bronze, and additional materials based on customer specifications. Its production programs can also incorporate JIT and Kanban delivery, PPAP Level III documentation, and other quality requirements.

Lean manufacturing and 5S principles help the company maintain organized, repeatable processes throughout the operation. Its ISO 9001:2015 certification reflects a long-standing emphasis on quality, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Recent new business is driving further investment and growth within Quantum Precision’s CNC Swiss department. For experienced machinists, this creates an opportunity to join an established shop with a strong workload, expanding capacity, and immediate need for advanced programming and setup expertise.

šŸ‘ Why you'll like working here

Quantum Precision offers the stability of an established, family-owned manufacturer along with the opportunity to contribute during a period of active growth.

Experienced machinists are trusted with meaningful responsibility. Depending on the position, that can include programming, tooling selection, complete machine setups, first-article approval, troubleshooting, and process optimization—not simply loading parts and monitoring production.

The growing Swiss department provides opportunities to work directly with Citizen and Tsugami equipment while helping the company launch new jobs and establish stable, repeatable processes. Machinists who enjoy solving problems can influence cycle times, tool life, quality, and overall production reliability.

A strong backlog supports steady work, and substantial overtime may be available for employees who want additional hours. The mix of ongoing production and new-job launches keeps the work varied while providing room for skilled machinists to make an immediate impact.

āš™ļø What you'll be working on

Machinists at Quantum Precision produce precision components through medium- and high-volume CNC production machining, along with select short-run work.

Within the CNC Swiss department, experienced programmer/setup machinists may take new components from engineering print through programming, tooling selection, complete setup, prove-out, first article, and stable production. The work requires close attention to dimensions, surface finishes, tool condition, cycle time, and process variation.

Machinists work with materials including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass, copper, and bronze. They also collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production while launching new work, resolving machining issues, and improving established processes.
