🏭 About Orion Castings

Orion Castings was formed in 2026 from the consolidated die casting assets of Pace Industries, a company with roots going back to 1970 as a small die casting facility in Harrison, Arkansas. Over the following decades, the business grew through acquisitions in aluminum, magnesium, and zinc casting, plus tool and die operations across the United States and Mexico, passing through ownership by Leggett & Platt, Kenner & Co., and most recently Cerberus Capital Management and TCW Asset Management before consolidating as Orion Castings.

Today, Orion Castings is the 5th largest general industrial casting company in North America and the largest independent die casting company in the region, operating 7 manufacturing facilities and roughly 4,000 associates across the United States and Mexico, including the Cambridge Division in North Billerica, Massachusetts. The company positions itself as a trusted manufacturing partner rather than a supplier, built around integrity, accountability, innovation, and customer partnership.

👍 Why you'll like working here

Orion Castings offers the scale and stability of a large, multi-facility manufacturer while still running a hands-on production floor. The Cambridge Division supports customers across automotive, aerospace and defense, industrial equipment, and consumer products, giving associates exposure to a wide range of parts and production challenges. The company's integrated model, combining die casting with CNC machining, finishing, coating, and tooling under one roof, means more variety and more ownership of the finished part than a single-process shop.

⚙️ What you'll be working on

Work at the Cambridge Division centers on high-pressure die cast aluminum, magnesium, and zinc components that move through integrated CNC machining, finishing, and coating before shipping to customers in automotive, aerospace and defense, industrial equipment, and consumer products markets. Quality and inspection roles support this production flow with CMM programming, first article inspection, and statistical process control to hold tight tolerances on production parts.
