🏭 About Camco Precision Machining

Camco Precision Machining is a family-owned CNC machine shop located in Union Grove, Wisconsin. Founded in 1981, the company has built its reputation by producing reliable, close-tolerance components for customers throughout the United States.

The shop specializes in CNC turning, Swiss and screw machining, twin-spindle turning, automatic bar machining, CNC milling and gear blank manufacturing. Its customers operate across industries including medical devices, aerospace, defense, automotive, hydraulics and fluid power, electronics, gear manufacturing, and oil and gas.

Camco’s production capabilities support quantities ranging from hundreds of components to high-volume orders exceeding one million pieces. Machinists work with a variety of equipment, including Okuma CNC lathes, Star Swiss machines, Haas CNC mills and automated bar-fed production systems. The shop produces parts from stainless steel, aluminum, brass, plastics and other materials based on customer requirements.

As a smaller, experienced team, Camco gives dependable employees the opportunity to take ownership of their work and directly contribute to the success of the shop. Experienced machinists can put their setup, troubleshooting and programming skills to use, while developing machinists may have opportunities to expand their capabilities over time.

👍 Why you'll like working here

Camco offers the stability of a company that has been operating since 1981, combined with the hands-on environment of a smaller family-owned machine shop.

Machinists are trusted to understand the process, inspect their own work, solve problems and keep production moving. Depending on the position and experience level, employees may gain exposure to machine setups, tooling, offsets, program editing, troubleshooting and process improvement.

The air-conditioned manufacturing facility includes recognizable CNC equipment from Okuma, Star and Haas, along with automated bar-feeding systems and modern inspection technology. The work is full-time and year-round, with a mix of repeat production, close-tolerance components and high-volume manufacturing.

Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and paid time off.

⚙️ What you'll be working on

Camco manufactures precision-machined components using CNC lathes, Swiss machines, CNC mills and automatic bar-fed production equipment.

Depending on your role, you may operate or set up machines, complete changeovers, install tooling, make work and tool offsets, edit programs, inspect finished parts and troubleshoot machining or quality issues. The turning department includes Okuma CNC lathes with live-tooling and sub-spindle capabilities, while the Swiss department operates Star equipment for close-tolerance, bar-fed production.

The shop handles both repeat and high-volume production, including turned components, Swiss-machined parts, gear blanks and other precision products. Machinists use blueprints, micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges and vision inspection equipment to monitor quality throughout each production run.
