The Work You’ll Be Doing

Machinists and CNC programmers at Athena Manufacturing work on high-precision, high-responsibility components used in critical industries.

Typical work includes:

• Programming and setting up multi-axis CNC machines for complex parts
• Running high-mix, low-volume production and repeat manufacturing programs
• Working with tight tolerances (commonly aerospace-grade precision requirements)
• Developing machining strategies for prototype and production parts
• Selecting tooling, optimizing feeds/speeds, and improving cycle efficiency
• Supporting first-article inspection and in-process quality control
• Designing or assisting with fixtures and workholding solutions
