General Job Description Dogwood Industries is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator at our Factory in Sedro-Woolley, WA. Dogwood Industries manufactures innovative prefabricated steel structures for industrial use. The core mission of the CNC Machine Operator is to operate a CNC robotic plasma cutting structural fabrication system. The CNC Machine (PythonX) processes steel beams, channel, and square/rectangular tubes. Duties &amp; Responsibilities <ul><li>Reads shop drawings to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.</li><li>Safely uses material handle equipment to move steel to and from the processing area.</li><li>Possesses knowledge of PythonX including power button and all switches.</li><li>Secures work pieces and operates stops and guides for proper alignment.</li><li>Depresses buttons, toggles, and starts machining operation.</li><li>Observes numerical displays on control panel and compares with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts.</li><li>Turns dials and switches to correct machine performance.</li><li>Inspects first-run piece and spot-checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications and follows QC procedures.</li><li>Studies job packet and organizes materials for next run to shorten changeover time.</li><li>Additional duties as assigned</li></ul>Requirements Qualifications <ul><li>1+ year of experience as a CNC Machine Operator.</li><li>High school diploma, general education degree or vocational degree </li><li>Experience in an industrial setting.</li><li>Proven ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.</li><li>Must be dependable, trustworthy, possess a positive attitude, and be willing to work independently or in a team environment.</li><li>Willing and able to work a flexible schedule that may include extended work hours and occasional weekends.</li><li>Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat</li></ul> Compensation $22.00 - $34.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
