Responsibilities (80s of the Position) <ul><li>Utilize skills in: welding (MIG), lathe turning, Mill (CNC), drill press, press brake, assembly and fabrication skills to support various projects within Canoo Maintenance Team and Manufacturing.</li><li>CNC Programming Mastercam and AutoCAD procedures/processes</li><li>Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures.</li><li>Assess, analyze and estimate (time, effort and materials required) fabrication projects as needed.</li><li>Support Canoo Maintenance and Facilities team members and Production Team members in the execution of their job requirements.</li><li>Perform repair work including necessary disassembly and re-assembly of production equipment.</li><li>Coordinate efforts with Maintenance, Facilities, Production and Other Departments as needed.</li><li>Support equipment PM tasks per manufacturer recommended specifications.</li><li>Support troubleshooting intermittent/inconsistent mechanical failures on production equipment.</li><li>Identify best practices and create standards combining available information &amp; knowledge.</li><li>Follow plant safety and environmental policies and keep work areas clean and orderly.</li><li>Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings.</li><li>All other duties as required to support business needs.</li></ul> Required Experience <ul><li>Strong background in some or all the following: (required) <ul><li>Welding (MIG), machining (lathe, mills, drills, etc.), brakes and mechanical assembly experience.</li></ul></li><li>CNC Programming and AutoCAD Experience</li><li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent and at least 18 years or older</li><li>Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision and other personnel with the ability to create clear technical instructions.</li><li>Basic computer skills required (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)</li><li>Able to function and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</li><li>Demonstrate self-initiative and mechanical proficiency, leadership ability, and teamwork.</li><li>A willingness to work on alternate shifts and must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes.</li><li>Be flexible to training, coaching, projects, and travel as needed.</li><li>Satisfactorily complete the Canoo hiring process requirements which include comprehensive assessments and background check.</li></ul>Preferred Experience <ul><li>Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, print-reading, and mechanics.</li><li>Previous experience in Body, Paint, or Assembly in automotive or manufacturing environment</li><li>Background with Industrial Maintenance</li></ul>Travel Requirements <ul><li>Travel and/or overtime may be required.</li></ul>Physical Requirements for Physical Positions While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to lift up to 25 or more pounds, stand, sit, bend/stoop, or operate office equipment or machinery. CNC Programmer/Machinist Fabrication Technician

This position will set up and operate all types of machines: Grinders, Lathes, Mills, and related equipment in the manufacture, rework, and repair of aircraft parts and components.
