Impressive company with growth opportunities for machinists. 📈&nbsp;-----The CNC Multi-Axis Machinist will produce machined parts by setting up and operating 4 and 5-axis CNC machine tools. &nbsp;Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Manufacture parts with 4 and 5-axis CNC machines by using industry standard machining techniques and practices while adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.</li><li>Plan machining from work schedules and engineering drawings and CAD. &nbsp;</li><li>Work independently or with other Machine Shop staff to determine work holding, tool holding, and tools required for jobs.</li><li>Anticipate tooling and material needs, check inventory, and place orders with supervisor as needed.</li><li>Directly program using Mazatrol or load CAM program to CNC machines.</li><li>Manufacture parts using conventional machining equipment (manual machines, saws, etc.) and other CNC equipment as required.</li><li>Maintain and update manufacturing information as per company directive.</li><li>Maintain safe operations in compliance with safety procedures and regulations.</li><li>Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements following manufacturer’s instructions and standards set forth by management. &nbsp;When necessary, repair machines and equipment and test operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance. &nbsp;</li><li>Use effective oral and written communication to include proper programming, set-up sheets and suggestions for improvement.</li><li>Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership and personal accountability for job done.</li><li>Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly according to company standards.</li><li>Arrive on time for scheduled work, work overtime and weekends as necessary.</li><li>Be dependable and professional, act with integrity, work effectively with others, take initiative, and be willing to apply new knowledge and skills.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul>Qualifications: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<ul><li>High school machining program and / or post-secondary technical school with earned diploma, certificate, or degree in machining trade training preferred.</li><li>5 years minimum experience operating 4 and 5-axis CNC machining centers and mill-turn machines. &nbsp;Mazak Mazatrol experience is a plus.</li><li>Must be able to work independently and possess strong CNC setup, operating, and machine G-coding abilities.</li><li>Experienced with precision measuring instruments, both digital and analog.</li><li>Can read and understand drawings and specifications with above average understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensioning (GD&amp;T).</li><li>Knowledge of work holding, tool holding, and tooling equipment used in CNC working environment.</li><li>Must possess above average math skills.</li><li>Must possess basic computer skills.</li><li>Must be able to lift 50 lbs.</li><li>Must be able to adapt to frequent change, delays or unexpected events with a positive and constructive attitude.</li><li>Must be willing and able to work flexible hours due to changing work schedules and demands.</li><li>Must possess strong English communication skills (oral and written) as it relates to the job.</li><li>Must be able to produce parts to deadlines, accurate to the print and with a quality finish.</li></ul>

Rocky Mountain Twist, America's premier twist drill manufacturer located near Ronan Montana in the scenic Mission Valley is seeking an experienced machinist. The candidate should have solid work experience machining various materials, taking a project from a blueprint to a completed part with minimal supervision, in a safe and accurate manner. The machine shop has 3 CNC Vertical Milling machines, a CNC lathe, a wire EDM, a sinker EDM, various precision grinders, as well as manual lathes, Bridgeport mills and Tracmills. You should have experience with at least one of these CNC systems. We use Surfcam for CAD/CAM programming, in up to 4 axis applications. You will be responsible for developing a plan to fabricate a part, consulting with our Engineering department as needed, program code for the CNC mills, select materials and tools to do the job, make the part and debur it, and verify the accuracy of the finished part. We are capable of in-house heat-treating of most of our workload. The primary job function is to make replacement parts for the production floor's drill grinding machines and associated equipment. This is typically 1-5 pieces produced, on very rare occasions up to 60 parts. Critical skills and characteristics include: Mathematics skills common for shop work. Attention to detail, ability to interpret drawings, measure work pieces accurately, pride in work. Responsibility for actions and outcomes, focus on safety for yourself and others around you. Experience working in a machine shop environment, preferably 2+ years after formal school, or 4 without a degree/diploma. Solid work ethic, ability to work and communicate well with others. Ownership of the projects. Preferred skills include: Programming CAD/CAM experience. CNC machining experience, tool and die making or a mold making background.
