The CNC Machine Operator Tubing Prep is an entry-level job that uses vertical milling machines to prepare structural-steel frame tubing by drilling holes, counter sink, counter bore, tapping for the frame fabrication department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Read Blueprints to ensure part accuracy prior to machining. Correctly document work orders. Assist coworkers in tool selection for shop jobs (i.e. selecting correct drill, tap, countersink). Operate and shut down CNC vertical bed mill and enclosed CNC milling machines following established procedures and all manufacturer safety requirements. Basic machine operations to produce parts- primarily square tubing but also blocks, plates, and round stock. Confirm that all safety devices are in place and operational. Perform daily maintenance and safety checks. Maintain a clean and organized work center daily. Measure parts for accuracy and consistency. CNC Machinist

Role As a CNC/Conventional Machinist (also known as CNC Operator, CNC Technician), you'll be responsible for fabricating and/or repairing large and small components in a dynamic job-shop environment. This includes operating CNC mill (up to 4-axis) and CNC 2-axis lathes, writing CNC machine code, utilizing CAM/CAD software, interpreting engineering drawings, and reverse engineering obsolete parts.
