Reports to: General ManagerWhy work at Tee Enterprises?<ul><li>Climate controlled shop</li><li>Family-oriented company with a positive culture</li><li>Opportunity for career growth</li><li>Strong benefits package</li><li>Investing in new machinery</li></ul>Compensation:<ul><li>$25-$35/hour</li></ul>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Confirm that all safety devices are in place and operational.</li><li>Maintain log of preventive maintenance on a daily/weekly schedule according to manufacturer recommendations.</li><li>Select, position, and align tooling in machine tool holder to confirm they are secured.</li><li>Sharpen and maintain tooling for peak performance; notify the supervisor of worn or broken tooling.</li><li>Operate Bridgeport style manual machines, 2-3 axis with Proto-Trak controls</li><li>Adjust to set specified pressure and tool clearance.</li><li>Set cut dimensions using controls from print details.</li><li>Position work piece against stops securely.</li><li>Measure work-piece dimensions throughout the operation to assure quality and repeatability.</li><li>Recommend tooling to perform the job more efficiently.</li><li>Startup, operate and shut down manual milling machines following established procedures and all manufacturer’s safety requirements.</li><li>Alert supervisor of any problems and suggest changes that will allow jobs to run more efficiently.</li><li>Observe tool and machine operation to detect work-piece defects or machine malfunction.</li><li>Maintain tooling inventory including consumables.</li><li>Keep work area neat and orderly, including clean-up of metal chips.</li><li>Maintain material storage and cutting fluid as required.</li><li>Manage workflow and materials through the machine shop.</li><li>Notify the supervisor of worn or broken tooling.</li><li>Miscellaneous duties as assigned to help Tee Enterprises achieve its goals.</li></ul>Inspection Requirements:<ul><li>Verify quantity, material type and thickness.</li><li>Check for any material defects or damage.</li><li>Verify correct orientation of all pieces.</li><li>Check all size dimensions on first piece to verify correct tooling setup.</li></ul>Physical Demands/ Work Conditions:<ul><li>The operator stands/sits for 8-10 hours per day with, walking, stooping, and reaching, as well as frequently lifting manually and/or moving material up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Typical manufacturing environment, subject to dust, metal shavings, machinery oil, and electrical hazards.</li><li>Frequently working with machinery that has pinch points and rotating parts.</li></ul>Required Personal Protective Equipment:<ul><li>Safety glasses.</li><li>Gloves when handling sharp material.</li><li>Earplugs when machinery is operating if required.</li><li>Safety shoes</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications/Technical Knowledge Required:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent, technical school/certificate and or 3-5 years’ experience preferred.</li><li>Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.</li><li>Understand Bill of Materials (BOM).</li><li>Identify material types.</li><li>Proficient in Proto Trak machine programming.</li><li>Proficient in Machine tool setup.</li><li>Read job specifications to determine adjustments.</li><li>Read tape measure, dial caliper, depth gauge, micrometer, dial indicator, and other various measuring instruments.</li><li>Ability to convert decimals to fractions when working with work orders/blueprints.</li><li>Ability to operate the forklift/pallet jack.</li></ul>This job description is not intended to be and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of all the responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with the position. Then, let’s talk!Conveniently located in Matthews, North Carolina - right outside of beautiful, growing Charlotte, NC – Northeast Tool is centrally located to the city, beaches, mountains and hiking, all within a 2-3 hour radius.&nbsp;<h3>Standout Benefits:</h3><ul><li>Competitive Pay: 36-40$/hr - Compensation that reflects your skills and experience</li><li>Comprehensive Health Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance</li><li>401K Plan: Includes both Roth and Traditional options</li><li>Relocation Assistance: Available for well-qualified candidates</li><li>Challenging and Rewarding Work: Opportunity to work with high-end 5-axis CNC mills in the aerospace industry, machining complex products with tight tolerances</li><li>Family-Oriented, Team-Focused Environment: Supportive workplace that values growth and teamwork</li><li>Career Growth Opportunities: A company that invests in its employees’ development and offers a challenging and rewarding career</li></ul>What You’ll Do<ul><li>Setup high-end simultaneous 5-axis CNC mills equipment (DMG Mori with Siemens 840D controls) to manufacture complex products with very tight tolerances to produce high quality parts in an aerospace environment, according to blueprints and engineering models.</li><li>Interpret (G-Code) programming, set up, and run 5-axis CNC mills.</li><li>Follow control and manufacturing plans established by Engineering for set-up and operations of projects.</li><li>Understand speeds &amp; feeds with an ability to align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and accessories; including 3D quickset and probing.</li><li>Responsible for selecting and installing tooling into tool posts or indexing heads.</li><li>Observe numerical display on control panel and compare with data on print sheet to verify dimensional adjustments on machining cuts.</li><li>Run first piece and check for conformance to specifications, complying with inspection requirements outlined by the Quality Department.</li><li>Complete critical dimension sheets as required per project.</li><li>Responsible to ensure team members follow and maintaining 5S in work area and performing total preventative maintenance activities; responsible for area cleanliness per 5S standards.</li><li>Load and unload raw material or parts into machining centers.</li><li>May calculate complex and/or component angles and dimensions.</li><li>Will use digital measurement tools with an emphasis on dimensional accuracy and precision.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>What We Are Looking For<ul><li>Minimum of five (5) years of precision, complex machining experience on CNC mills; multi-axis experience preferred, simultaneous 5-axis experience strongly preferred, and preferred experience specifically on DMG Mori machines.</li><li>Extensive experience with maintaining tight tolerances (generally 2 tenths to 5 tenths, sometimes tighter), and to read and interpret blueprints and use required digital measuring instruments.</li><li>Strong preference for previous experience with Siemens 840D Controls.</li><li>Experience with basic shop math, and familiarity with GD&amp;T.</li><li>Basic computer skills.</li><li>High School Diploma/GED.</li></ul>Even Better<ul><li>Associate degree from an accredited college or university.</li><li>Previous experience in an AS9100 Environment strongly preferred.</li><li>Proficiency with DMG Mori, Grob, Okuma, or Makino machine tools.</li><li>Experience with high temp alloys, such as Inconel and Monel.</li><li>Machining credentials/certifications; i.e. NIMS CNC Milling Specialist.</li><li>Foundational GD&amp;T certification per GD&amp;T ASME Y14.5 – 2018 standards.</li><li>Certified in Lean Six Sigma; Yellow Belt or Higher.</li><li>Experience in use of automation in manufacturing processes.</li><li>Experience with Mastercam, specifically 2023 or newer.</li></ul>We believe the only way our company can grow is when we nurture the growth of our employees.
