Description Act as the Manufacturing Co-op and be a member of the Machining Team. You will be working closely to support a number of continuous improvement projects and variety of assignments to promote the optimization of processes! Co-op Term: September 2024 - December 2024 <ul><li>Completing tasks related to monitoring/trending and troubleshooting manufacturing processes.</li><li>Assist with troubleshooting and solving problems related to process efficiency, product quality, throughput, and yield.</li><li>Assisting in investigations through data compilation and statistical analysis to determine root cause to atypical events.</li><li>Assisting with new product prove out and qualification activities on production equipment.</li><li>Assisting with validating purchased noble components to facilitate supplier qualifications and continuous improvement.</li><li>Compilation and analysis of process data. Presenting results and preparing reports</li><li>Contributing to process improvement projects, such as Lean and Six Sigma initiatives</li><li>Preparation and data checking technical reports.</li><li>Involvement in change management activities</li><li>Use of ERP enterprise software to source information and navigate business operations.</li><li>Supports Technical Operations department with process executions.</li></ul> Desired Characteristics <ul><li>Knowledge of working with AutoCAD &amp; Inventor would be considered an asset.</li><li>Basic Knowledge of CNC Mill/Lathe.</li><li>Knowledge of operating manual Mill &amp; Lathe.</li><li>Possesses strong analytical and organizational skills.</li><li>Desire to learn about the technical process of engine component /manufacturing.</li><li>Professional demeanor/customer service oriented.</li><li>Ability to multi-task, and deliver key objectives within established timelines.</li><li>Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft software, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.</li><li>Experience with Oracle and/or other ERP systems preferred.</li></ul>

We have an immediate opening for an Intern- Precision Machining and Grinding. This is a 90 Day Internship position. The internshipwill be based in our Hopkinton, MA location, supporting manufacturing operations. You will be primarily responsible for flat grinding components used in our air bearing product line. We are looking for a candidate who is currently attending a vocational/technical school with a focus on machining and/or grinding. What You Will Do: You will be primarily responsible for machining and flat grinding components used in our air bearing product line. <ul><li>Machining low-volume parts using CNC-controlled mini-mill and manual machine tools.</li><li>Precision flat grinding operations using surface grinders (Okamoto) to high precision tolerances.</li><li>Single piece prototypes to low volume production.</li><li>Performing in-process and final inspection on parts and verifying that all print tolerances and specifications are met.</li><li>Work alongside experienced machinists to gain valuable hands-on training.</li></ul> What Have You Done: <ul><li>0 years of experience.
