General Description: The CNC Programmer creates CNC programs and machining instructions. This work often includes reviewing three-dimensional computer-aided/automated design (CAD) models and blueprints, determine cutting tools and machining strategies, and other calculations. The programmer then creates CNC programs utilizing computer aided/automated manufacturing (CAM) software. The programmer and/or the operator of the machine check the program through first piece run off and first piece inspection approval.
