CNC Programmer

Position Overview: B&amp;T USA is seeking an experienced and reliable CNC Set-up Machinist who can plan, set up, and run various parts of the CNC machines. The CNC Set-up Machinist will maintain quality, safety standards, and keep records while maintaining equipment and supplies of the machines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities <ul> <li>Set up tooling for complex jobs in multi-axis multi-turret mill turn lathes</li> <li>Set up jobs based on set up sheets and dial in part dimensions</li> <li>Work directly with CNC programmer to set up new jobs</li> <li>Measure parts with correct tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauge, pins, gauge blocks, etc.</li> <li>Instruct machine operators on proper operation techniques</li> <li>Understand and ensure compliance with all regulations concerning the department</li> <li>Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff by following established safety standards</li> <li>Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments</li> <li>Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime</li> <li>Ability to work independently and stick to deadlines</li> <li>Essential duties as needed</li></ul> Required Education/Experience <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED</li> <li>5 years CNC lathe set up</li> <li>Previous work experience with mill-turn style machines</li> <li>Ability to read and understand basic G- code</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret design blueprints</li> <li>Ability to properly indicate a variety of lathe tooling.</li> <li>Completion of a technical or associate degree program a plus</li></ul> Physical Requirements Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position. <ul> <li>Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs unassisted.</li> <li>Ability to stand for extended periods of time.</li> <li>Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop or crouch.</li></ul>Job Type: FT - Hourly On-Site, Monday to Friday.
