Functional aspect of the position&nbsp;Machinist focused on programming, setting up, and operating CNC Milling machines. Further they produce production parts to required tolerances and due dates.&nbsp;Essential Duties of the Position*&nbsp;Description of duty % of time spent on this task&nbsp;Programming, machine set up, and machine operation 80%<ul><li>Writes complex programs on the machine and offline on CAD/CAM software.</li><li>Designs and builds complex fixtures related to various machining operations.</li><li>Read blueprints, job travelers, work instructions, program and tooling sheets, quality documents and GD&amp;T; Ensures processes and operations are correct.</li><li>Sets up production machines following prints and specifications.</li><li>Chooses, aligns, and securely attaches holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and other materials on machines according to work instructions.</li><li>Applies knowledge of mathematics and instruments to calculate dimensions and tolerances.</li><li>Identifies malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining; adjusts controls of machine to correct errors.</li><li>Inspects and measures completed production units to identify defects caused by machine setup.&nbsp;</li></ul>Workplace Safety and maintenance 10%<ul><li>Is responsible for taking care of routine machine maintenance and keeping work area in neat condition.</li><li>Proper and safe use of material handling equipment such as cranes, carts, etc.</li><li>Follows all company safety rules, including machine operation and guarding.
