You will be primarily responsible for machining and grinding components used in our air bearing product line.We are looking for a candidate who is currently attending or recently graduated from a vocational/technical school with a focus on machining and/or grinding.&nbsp;&nbsp;What You Will Do:You will be primarily responsible for machining and flat grinding components used in our air bearing product line.&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Machining low-volume parts using CNC-controlled mini-mill and manual machine tools.</li><li>Precision flat grinding operations using surface grinders (Okamoto) to high precision tolerances.</li><li>Single piece prototypes to low volume production.</li><li>Performing in-process and final inspection on parts and verifying that all print tolerances and specifications are met.</li><li>Work alongside experienced machinists to gain valuable hands-on training.</li></ul>What Have You Done:&nbsp;<ul><li>0 years of experience.&nbsp; We will provide hands on training for the right candidate.</li><li>Our ideal candidate will be enrolled in or recently graduated from school, enjoys working in a machine-shop environment, and is looking for a start to a career in manufacturing.</li><li>Excellent written &amp; verbal communication skills.</li><li>US Citizen or Green Card required – evidence of permanent ability to live and work in the US is an employment contingency for this position.</li></ul>Additional Details:&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Hours are flexible, 25-40 hours a week.</li><li>All work needs to be conducted during our normal business hours of 7 am – 5 pm Monday to Friday.</li></ul>PI (Physik Instrumente), LP is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
