Plant Manufacturing Manager 📍 Matthews, NC | 💼 Full-Time | 💲 $100K–$135K DOE | ✈ Relocation AvailableOverview: Northeast Tool &amp; Manufacturing, a precision aerospace components manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on, growth-oriented Plant Manufacturing Manager. This is an ideal opportunity for a mid-level leader with strong technical and people management skills, looking to step into a higher-impact operational role.The Role: Reporting to the COO, you’ll oversee our 24/5 production floor—leading supervisors, cell leads, and a planner to drive daily operations, meet delivery targets, and continuously improve processes. You'll work cross-functionally (engineering, quality, purchasing, and shipping) to solve problems, optimize schedules, and lead from the floor—not from behind a desk.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and throughput.</li><li>Monitor and adjust schedules to meet customer demands and production goals.</li><li>Drive KPI performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.</li><li>Conduct Gemba walks to resolve bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.</li><li>Manage and develop team leads, machinists, and operators; support cross-training and performance reviews.</li><li>Champion standard work, 5S, and FOD control to sustain a high-performance environment.</li><li>Collaborate across departments to reduce downtime and meet milestones.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.</li><li>7+ years in manufacturing (preferably machining); 4+ years in leadership.</li><li>Aerospace/AS9100 experience required.</li><li>Strong knowledge of scheduling, quality, and shop-floor execution.</li><li>GD&amp;T knowledge (ASME Y14.5-2018); Six Sigma Green Belt or willing to obtain.</li></ul>Nice to Have:<ul><li>Master’s degree, Six Sigma Black Belt, or PMP.</li><li>Experience with 5-axis mills or multi-axis lathes.</li><li>Advanced GD&amp;T certification.</li></ul>What You Get:<ul><li>$100K–$140K base salary (DOE)</li><li>Relocation support</li><li>9 paid holidays (including your birthday)</li><li>4% 401(k) match, education assistance, and top-tier benefits (including onsite Nurse &amp; Pharmacist)</li><li>A fast-growing, team-driven environment focused on operational excellence</li></ul>
