Job Description • Write and effectively optimize machine code for advanced interpolation functions for the following processes vertical and horizontal milling, large part turning utilizing live tooling and Plasma and Oxy/Fuel plate cutting. • Possess a working knowledge that consists of standard Machine shop and sheet metal fabrication practices. • Familiar with Plasma and Laser cutting processes. Must have the ability to modify process parameters to ensure optimum cut quality. • Interpret material standards for Mechanical and Chemical composition in order to determine proper combination of work and tool materials. • Complete accurate Surface Feet per Minute calculations for speeds and feed Values. CNC Programmer - Machine Tool & Fabrication

The Machinist/CNC Programmer is responsible for CNC machine programming, setup and first article for multi-axis CNC mills and lathes, for both production and prototype components. Expectations Embody the ARC Products Global standards with respect to discipline, quality, punctuality, and safety, and to enforce those standards with subordinates, and comply with all company policies, as well as safety and health regulations. The Machinist/CNC Programmer is expected to: <ul><li>Understand capability of manufacturing equipment, operations, software, etc.</li><li>Create, review, and edit computer numeric controlled (CNC) machining programs</li><li>Provide training, guidance and expertise to machinists, operators, and other teams</li><li>Maintain programming database and files for each part and machining center</li><li>Support manufacturing operations team by providing input for routers and process flow</li><li>Develop and recommend resources and methods for equipment, tooling materials, processes, etc.</li><li>Track and evaluate costs and efficiency including tooling, material, and cycles</li><li>Assist in providing information for quotations and contract reviews</li></ul> Responsibilities The Machinist/CNC Programmer programs and sets-up a production machine, including first article, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
