The core hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm.&nbsp;What you’ll do:<ul><li>Setup and operate NC and CNC machines and any conventional machines in the Casting Cells to perform a variety of turning, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, threading, forming, facing, milling, slotting, grooving, chamfering, serrating and deburring operations to produce a variety of explosion-proof parts of various materials</li><li>Operate machines include, but are not limited to, single spindle and multi-spindle drill presses and tappers; milling machines; parts washers; and deburring grinder</li><li>Refer to assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and machining blueprints to maintain tolerances.</li><li>Set controls and perform other manual data input functions as required, review operation data sheets, parts program, tape readouts and prints, and change collets and/or chucks; load and unload parts; load, unload and adjust tools as necessary</li><li>Check first piece using fixed or adjustable gauges; gauge periodically and visually inspect all parts for appearance and compliance to specifications; correct for any discrepancies.</li><li>Maintain a supply of materials to machines and remove finished work as necessary to establish a flow through the cells</li><li>Operate fork truck to facilitate own work or to move material around department as required</li><li>Maintain work area, machines and control units in a clean, neat and orderly condition and follow 5-S's principles</li></ul>Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>Minimum two (2) years’ previous work experience in machine setup and operation</li><li>Ability to read and understand blueprints, charts, and tables</li><li>Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.</li><li>No relocation benefit is offered for this position. CNC & NC Machine Setup & Operator

Responsible for CNC Set Up with the ability for full change over and set up on different manufactures of CNC machines including HAAS and Doosan, maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies, and working closely with other departments within the organization to ensure optimal use of equipment and personnel. As a valued member of the production team the CNC Set Up Technician will also have the ability to train other operators as required. Requirements ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: <ul><li>Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&amp;T).</li><li>Successfully setup proven / existing programs and processes with minimum supervision / guidance.</li><li>Proficiency in setting up either vertical or horizontal CNC multi axis machining centers or multi turret lathes with multi-part holding fixtures including defining work and tool offsets.</li><li>Setup and measurement of tooling in a variety of holders.</li><li>Schedules production through the machining depart using travelers and with the available equipment and manpower to meet customer due dates. </li><li>Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.</li><li>Train operators to properly operate and to perform preventive maintenance on both CNC equipment and computer components.</li><li>Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.</li><li>Uses CAD modeling to fabricate and design tools an fixtures.</li><li>Analyzed tool usage including selection, design, and integration in order to reduce cycle time while maintaining quality output.</li><li>Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes</li><li>Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.</li><li>Demonstrates cooperative communication with other departments and functions of including production, machining, welding, purchasing, engineering, and other corporate leaders.</li><li>Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for contributions and leading by example; and exploring opportunities to add value to accomplishments new and existing jobs.</li><li>Follow quality control standards to ensure meeting quality and quantity requirements.</li><li>Maintains safe operations by adhering the safety protocols and regulations.</li><li>Monitor wear of consumable tools and notify purchasing as required.</li><li>Accurately report work performed.</li><li>Keep work area neat and orderly and follow all safe work practice requirements.</li><li>Maintain identification of all parts and materials and record location of same.</li><li>Report abnormal machine operating conditions immediately.</li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications: <ul><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and 3 years CNC experience strongly desired.</li><li>Must be able to successfully operate an overhead crane</li><li>Must be familiar wih CAD equipment</li><li>Possess and practice good oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Treat fellow co-workers with dignity and respect.</li><li>Possess and utilize basic math skills and exercise superior organizational skills</li><li>Prior CNC, production machine and/or welding experience highly desired.</li><li>Maintain and exhibit a positive attitude toward our work and our work environment.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with hand and power tools, banders, hoists, and other production equipment, as well as an overall mechanical aptitude</li><li>Forklift certification required.</li><li>Participate in training events (ie; Lockout/Tagout; HazCom; and overhead crane training)</li></ul>Knowledge: GD&amp;T conceptual skills, process improvement, verbal communication, functional and technical skills, controls and instrumentation, supply management, tooling, coordination, inventory control, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
