Job Type Full-time Description Primus Aerospace is looking for an Team Lead and CNC Setup Machinist to work at our Lakewood facility on 2nd shift. 2nd shift works the hours of 4:00 pm - 2:30 am Monday through Thursday. Primus Aerospace is a leading manufacturing partner to aerospace, defense &amp; space OEMs / Primes &amp; Tier I suppliers. The company specializes in producing high-tolerance, complex geometry parts; machined out of standard and exotic metals. Primus works directly with all major aerospace manufacturers (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop) to provide components to mission critical civilian and defense programs. Job Purpose: The Team Lead is responsible for the performance and production of Primus Aerospace's manufacturing operations within their department. This includes the management and direction of production personnel and processes including production control, quality control, safety, ISO documentation and shipping and receiving. The Team Lead will work with internal teammates across departments to maintain customer satisfaction of assigned work orders. This position requires a hands-on team player with superior communication skills, providing a channel of communication between the shop floor, shift changes and office and building relationships with corresponding vendor staff while contributing to a positive teamwork environment. This person will also be responsible for testing and validating programs. They will set up the machines to run the program and then acclimate the CNC Operator(s) to operate the machines. The Setup Machinist is also responsible for program troubleshooting. CNC Machinist & Programmer

JOB SUMMARY Setup and operate any of a wide range of machine tools in order to produce machined parts or components for shipments. Operate any single machine tool such as manual or CNC lathe/mills/machining centers and be able to produce any proven parts per required specifications, generally to tolerances of .001 - .003 and 32 micro inch finish. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <ul> <li>Set up and operate various CNC and manual machine tools such as drill press, lapping machine, cut off machine, grinding machine, broach, etc.</li> <li>Load and edit programs via "dry-run" simulation if CNC is being utilized.</li> <li>Make necessary offset adjustments to CNC machine. </li> <li>Read and interpret work order operation information to select proper work center and identify required tooling and/or programs necessary to perform the operation.</li> <li>Obtain and install proper tooling such as jaws, chucks, faceplates, spindle liners, arbors, centers and cutting tools according to proper set up procedures.</li> <li>Use various gauges and precision instruments (i.e. CMM, calipers, micrometers, etc) to inspect production pieces to make necessary program and tooling adjustments.
