We're hiring high performers as proven as our products. Join us. ATI is hiring a CNC Machinist II for our Huntsville, Alabama facility. This is a 2nd shift position and typically works Monday through Friday from2:30 pm - 11:00 pm.As a CNC Machinist II, you'll play a pivotal role in the manufacturing process, utilizing your expertise to set up, operate, and maintain computer-numerical-controlled (CNC) machinery. Your responsibilities include producing precision parts according to specifications, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring high-quality production output. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.</li><li>Prepare CNC machines for operation by loading tools, entering program codes, and adjusting machine settings based on technical drawings and specifications.</li><li>Operate CNC equipment to manufacture parts with strict adherence to quality standards, ensuring accuracy, surface finish, and dimensional correctness.</li><li>Conduct meticulous inspections of finished parts using precision measuring tools to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards in accordance with ISO 9001 AS9100.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments to maintain optimal machine performance.</li><li>Maintain detailed records of production output, machine maintenance, and any encountered issues during the manufacturing process.</li></ul><ul><li>Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics (geometry, trigonometry) and part drawings / standards.</li><li>Perform set-up, adjustments and operate CNC 3 Axis and 5 axis machines according to instructions with minimal supervision or assistance.</li></ul>Requirements Basic Qualifications: <ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in CNC machining are advantageous.</li><li>At least 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role, demonstrating proficiency in operating and setting up CNC machinery.</li></ul>Skills, Abilities Preferences: <ul><li>Strong understanding of blueprint reading, travelers, sketches, CNC programming, and utilization of measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges.</li><li>Ability to consistently produce high-quality, precise parts within specified tolerances.</li><li>Proven ability to troubleshoot machine malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.</li><li>Capable of collaborating effectively with team members while also working independently as needed.</li><li>Actively champion and maintain a culture of 5S.</li></ul>Physical Requirements: <ul><li>Capable of lifting and moving heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks.
