VTL Machinist lvl 3 — Large-Format CNC Turning
AMMR Inc. is an AS9100D-certified, ITAR-registered precision machine shop in Pomona.
Individual must specialize in vertical turret lathes — setup through final part. We are looking for someone who reads the print, dials in the setup, and produces a part that passes first article without a fight.
- Set up and run large-diameter parts on CNC VTLs (Fanuc control)
- Work directly from engineering drawings and models — interpret GD&T, datum structures, profile and position callouts
- Build and modify setups: chuck jaws, soft jaws, shim seats, custom fixturing, and indicating large workpieces
- Edit and prove out programs at the control; work with our programmers on Mastercam-posted code
- Hold tolerances into the tenths on large-swing work and verify your own parts with mics, bore gages, height gages, and indicators
- Keep documentation clean to AS9100 standards — first article, in-process checks, traceability
