Company Description: D.P. Tool & Machine, Inc. is a technologically advanced family -owned manufacturing company experienced with producing close tolerance CNC precision turned, machined, fabricated/welded components, electro-mechanical assemblies and fixtures servicing major corporations.

Job Summary: The ideal candidate should have the ability to inspect raw materials, turned or milled machined components to GD&T drawing specifications using a CMM, vision system and manual measuring instruments.

Reports To: Quality Manager

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics or Applied Sciences or a minimum of 10 years of Quality related experience.

Ability to perform all duties of the Quality Technician (see job description).

Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods and lifting up to 35lbs

Job Responsibilities:

Provide day to day QA Engineering support to the manufacturing and engineering teams

Inspect First Article parts, in-process and final stage inspection

Write CMM part programs (PC-Dmis -Zeiss Calypso)

Audit current QMS processes and implement continuous improvement goals

Assist writing training procedures and educate the team

Process CARS, SCARS and deviation requests

Fully resolve quality issues/discrepancies. This includes, but is not limited to, working with cross-functional teams, collecting and analyzing data, taking appropriate action as a result of data analysis and communicating with management, suppliers and customers.

Understanding customer performance/quality requirements, measuring our performance against these requirements, taking action when needed and communicating to appropriate parties.

Perform internal audits of department processes to ensure conformance to QMS requirements and reporting the results/requirements.

Investigate root cause of non-conforming/defective product.

Review customer prints and generate quality/process plans.

Receiving inspection activities as needed

Required Skills:

Blueprint reading and GD&T application

Microsoft Office

Demonstrated ability to develop, analyze, articulate and present technical information in both written and verbal forms.

Preferred Skills:

Ability to program CMM with PC-Dmis or Zeiss Calypso software

Six Sigma

ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 machining practices

Ability to present statistical analyses, control and capability charts and histograms as required (QC Calc Software)

FMEA

PPAP
