The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Design and implement manufacturing processes from concept through production
- Create shop routers, bills of materials (BOMs), and process documentation
- Optimize machining processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost
- Assess production workflows and analyze data to drive improvements
- Support shop-floor operations by troubleshooting in-process issues
- Develop best practices, standard procedures, and innovative solutions
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams
- Ensure processes meet aerospace standards and specifications
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity
- Maintain organized work areas using 6S practices
- Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements

What We’re Looking For
Required
- 3+ years of process engineering or manufacturing engineering experience
- Strong understanding of machining processes and machine capabilities
- CAD/CAM experience (NX preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T
- Knowledge of workholding methods and fixturing
- Familiarity with inspection processes and quality requirements
- Understanding of aerospace manufacturing standards
- Knowledge of outside processes (plating, surface treatments, heat treat)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred
- Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Prior aerospace manufacturing experience
- Experience supporting production environments
- Continuous improvement experience

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Environment:
- Production setting with high noise levels and industrial hazards
- Exposure to moving equipment, metal chips, cutting fluids, dust, and fumes
- Travel between Southwick and Westfield facilities may be required
