Manufacturing Process Engineer – CNC Machining

Tech-Max Machine is a precision CNC machine shop with a brand-new, state-of-the-art technical center in Itasca, Illinois. We’re looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer (Mid-Level) to help develop efficient manufacturing processes and documentation that ensure our customers receive high-quality, precision-machined components.

What You’ll Do

• Develop complete manufacturing plans and shop traveler packages for machining projects.
• Create and revise approved-for-manufacturing drawings from customer models.
• Update traveler packages and attach prints to meet customer specifications.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Machinists to achieve customer requirements.
• Communicate effectively with customers on production inquiries.
• Analyze and recommend improvements to processes, work instructions, and procedures.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in a CNC machine shop environment.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and scheduling.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, and 3D modeling software.
• Hands-on familiarity with machining processes: milling, turning, 5-Axis machining preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO and AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred (but not required).
• Must be a U.S. Person or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
