This role exists to support Chem Flowtronics’ continued production of high-quality, precision components. The CNC Machinist plays a critical role in maintaining quality, efficiency, and consistency across machining operations while supporting a collaborative, professional shop environment.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills for precision machining
• Install tooling, fixtures, and workpieces and verify proper setups
• Load, run, and adjust CNC programs at the machine
• Perform drilling, milling, turning, and cutting operations
• Conduct test runs and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet specifications
• Document measurements, inspections, and production activity
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams

Machines, Controls & Software

You’ll work with equipment and tools including:

• Machines: CNC Lathes and CNC Mills
• Controls: CNC machine controls (specific platforms based on cell)
• CAM Software: Mastercam (strong plus)
• Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments

Materials You’ll Work With

• Metals commonly used in precision machining
  (Specific materials will vary by job and program)

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist / Setup Operator
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Hands-on experience with CNC machine setup, tooling, and offsets
• Knowledge of CNC programming fundamentals and machine controls
• Experience performing part inspection and quality verification
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Safety-minded, dependable, and able to work independently

Preferred (Not Required):

• Mastercam experience
• Formal technical training or CNC certification
• Experience troubleshooting complex machining issues
