As a Weekend Day CNC Machinist, you'll operate advanced CNC machining equipment in a highly automated manufacturing environment, producing precision components from titanium, nickel alloys, stainless steel, and other specialty materials while maintaining the exceptional quality standards required for aerospace manufacturing.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Operate 2- through 5-axis CNC machining centers and automated machining cells
  • Perform basic machine setups, including fixtures, tooling, offsets, and changeovers
  • Load, verify, and adjust CNC programs using Okuma OSP controls
  • Troubleshoot machine and automation system issues to maximize uptime
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
  • Use precision measuring equipment including height gauges and bench inspection equipment
  • Read blueprints and verify dimensions against engineering specifications
  • Monitor production quality and communicate issues with manufacturing and quality teams
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance checks on machines
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area following 6S standards
  • Work closely with teammates to support production goals and continuous improvement

  • Titanium Alloys
  • Stainless Steel

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred
  • Experience operating CNC mills or lathes in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic CNC setup experience including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and changeovers
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work safely in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required

Preferred

  • CNC Machining or Machine Tool Technology certification
  • Technical degree in machining or manufacturing
  • Prior aerospace manufacturing experience
  • Experience working with automated machining systems
  • Military manufacturing or machining experience
