Key Responsibilities:
Machine Maintenance and Repairs
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic system issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist in machine setup, calibration, and adjustments for production runs.
- Regularly monitor equipment performance and address any abnormalities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLC systems, hydraulic systems, and other industrial machinery components.
- Collaborate with production staff and supervisors to understand equipment needs and ensure operational efficiency.
- Train production staff on proper machine operation and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Ensure all equipment complies with safety regulations and report any safety hazards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using the maintenance management system.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or technical certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience as a CNC Technician or Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with framing, woodworking machinery, or Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CNC machines, PLC systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring physical stamina.
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Capability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Certification in electrical or mechanical systems.
- Experience with woodworking or related industrial machinery.
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%) and relocate to Livermore, CA before starting work.
