Innovative Manufacturing & Engineering Inc. (IME) is hiring skilled CNC Lathe Setup Machinists to join our growing team in Des Moines, Iowa. This is your chance to earn $30–$50/hour while working on cutting-edge projects in a quality-driven, AS9100-certified environment.

We’re offering two unique shift options:

• 🛠️ 1st Shift: 4x10s (Monday – Thursday)
• ⚡ Weekend Shift: 3x12s (Friday – Sunday) — get paid for 40 hours while working only 36

🔧 What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate CNC lathes with live tooling, dual spindle, dual turret, and bar feeders
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate setups
• Optimize machine settings for efficiency and precision
• Perform quality checks to AS9100 standards
• Troubleshoot machines and maintain tooling for continuous operation
• Support continuous improvement and 5S shop initiatives
• Train and mentor junior machinists as needed

✅ What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years CNC lathe setup and operation experience (Doosan or Mori Seiki preferred)
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with AS9100 and lean manufacturing principles a plus
• Reliable attendance and commitment to safety and quality
• Leadership or shop floor supervisory experience a bonus

📅 Schedule Options

• 🛠️ 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4x10s
• ⚡ Weekend Shift: Friday – Sunday, 3x12s (paid for 40 hours per week)
• ⏱️ Overtime available

⚠️ Weekend Shift Note: This cannot be a “side gig.” Candidates must not hold another full-time job.

📍 Location Requirement

Must be able to commute or relocate to Des Moines, IA (50313) prior to starting. Relocation assistance available.
