It's hands-on ownership — from programming in Mastercam and GibbsCAM through running Swiss CNC machines, mills, lathes, and other multi-axis equipment, to proving out new programs before they hit the floor. What you'll be doing

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs and toolpaths in Mastercam and GibbsCAM from customer drawings, models, and specs
• Program and support Swiss CNC machines, mills, lathes, and other multi-axis equipment
• Plan machining sequences, select tooling, workholding, and cutting parameters, and set work/tool offsets
• Prove out new and revised programs through simulation, single-block operation, and controlled first cycles, and support first-article inspection before parts release to production
• Perform in-process inspection using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and height gauges
• Diagnose and correct dimensional issues, surface finish problems, tool wear or breakage, chatter, workholding issues, and programming errors
• Optimize existing programs for cycle time, tool life, setup time, and repeatability
• Provide hands-on programming support to machinists and production staff, and work with Production and Quality to resolve machining issues
• Use JobBOSS to manage job information, routings, and work orders, keeping program and tooling files organized with clear naming and revision control

Machines, controls and software

This role runs Swiss CNC machines, mills, lathes, and other multi-axis equipment, programmed primarily in Mastercam and GibbsCAM. Day-to-day work involves G-code, tooling and workholding selection, offsets, feeds and speeds, and full program prove-out before release to production.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of CNC programming and machining experience in precision manufacturing
• Strong proficiency in Mastercam and GibbsCAM, with the ability to independently create machining strategies, not just run existing programs
• Demonstrated experience programming and troubleshooting Swiss CNC machines, mills, lathes, or other multi-axis equipment
• Solid understanding of G-code, tooling, workholding, offsets, feeds/speeds, and program prove-out
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings, tolerances, and material/finish callouts, with working knowledge of GD&T
• Experience with first-article and in-process inspection using precision measuring tools
• Experience with JobBOSS or a similar ERP/job management system
• Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Planning, and Operations

Pay, benefits and schedule

This role pays $32–$40 per hour based on experience. Benefits include 401(k), health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, and paid time off.
