This role exists to support continued production growth and ensure efficient workflow across the shop floor.

At Custom Design Components, this position plays a critical role in overseeing the manufacturing of precision hydraulic manifolds and CNC-machined components, ensuring high-quality output, on-time delivery, and continuous process improvement.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Oversee daily production operations across CNC machining and manufacturing processes
• Lead, train, and manage shop floor employees to ensure productivity and quality
• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines when needed
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Perform and oversee first-article and in-process inspections
• Troubleshoot machining and production issues to maintain workflow
• Manage scheduling, workload balancing, and resource allocation
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across machining and production
• Monitor and improve quality, reducing rework and QC issues
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
• Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment
• Collaborate with leadership to align production capacity with business needs

Machines, Controls & Software

You’ll work with equipment such as:

• Machines: 3-Axis CNC Mills / Routers
• Controls: Fanuc, Brother
• Software: ERP systems, production planning tools, Microsoft Excel & Word
• Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools

Materials You’ll Work With

• Aluminum

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in CNC machining or manufacturing leadership
• Proven experience as a Production Lead, Supervisor, or Manager
• Strong background in CNC machining (mills preferred)
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience with tooling, setups, and machining processes
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Ability to troubleshoot production and machining issues
• Knowledge of safety standards and shop best practices
• Experience with scheduling, planning, and workflow optimization

Preferred (Not Required):

• Experience with Fanuc or Brother controls
• Experience in hydraulic components or precision parts manufacturing
• ERP system experience
• Continuous improvement / lean manufacturing exposure
