This position supports CNC Milling production operations at Norman Noble, helping ensure high-quality output, stable production flow, and consistent achievement of safety, quality, and delivery targets.
The role is critical in maintaining efficiency on the shop floor while supporting team development and precision manufacturing standards in a high-demand production environment.
The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Lead CNC milling production team members to meet safety, quality, and production goals
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines and related equipment
- Train and support team members as needed
- Perform in-process adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation
- Inspect parts using comparator and microscope tools
- Work with very small, precision-machined components
- Troubleshoot machining and setup issues as they arise
- Support continuous production flow across the shift
Machines, Tools & Inspection
You will work with:
- CNC Milling Machines (multi-axis and standard production milling equipment)
- Precision inspection tools including:
- Optical comparator
- Microscope inspection systems
- Standard metrology tools
(Controls and CAM systems not specified)
Materials & Parts
- Very small precision components
- High-tolerance machined parts used in advanced manufacturing environments
What We’re Looking For
Required
- 3+ years CNC milling setup experience
- Strong understanding of CNC language/code
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience inspecting precision parts using comparator and microscope
- Experience working with very small, tight-tolerance components
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
Preferred
- Prior leadership or team lead experience in machining environments
- Experience in high-precision or regulated manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of production workflow optimization
