Why This Role Exists
Surface Engineering is in the middle of a major evolution. Historically focused on extremely high-precision finishing work for semiconductor equipment manufacturers, the company has expanded its internal machining capabilities and invested heavily in advanced equipment and production capacity.
To support this growth, Surface Engineering brought in an advanced Okuma MULTUS mill-turn platform and is looking for a highly capable machinist/programmer to take ownership of the machine and help establish long-term process success.
This is not a button-pushing role.
You will play a key role in building out machining strategy, workholding approaches, programming processes, and helping maximize the potential of one of the most advanced machines in the shop.
Surface Engineering offers something increasingly rare: highly complex technical work without the instability of a traditional high-mix job shop. The company builds equipment and systems for end customers and operates with repeatable production and long-term programs.
