As Siemens Energy continues expanding production across its Gas Services division, we are growing our machining team in Charlotte, NC.

This role supports the manufacturing and refurbishment of critical gas turbine, steam turbine, and power generation components. Successful candidates will utilize both CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision components that help power communities around the world.

The Work You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Set up and operate CNC horizontal milling machines and CNC lathes
  • Perform manual machining operations on mills and lathes when required
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions
  • Set tooling, establish machine offsets, and optimize machining parameters
  • Load, run, and troubleshoot CNC programs
  • Utilize G-Code and M-Code programming knowledge to support machining operations
  • Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections
  • Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments
  • Maintain required tolerances and quality standards throughout production
  • Load and unload components using cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment
  • Record production data, downtime information, and quality documentation
  • Adapt to changing production priorities and support team objectives

What We're Looking For

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3–5 years of CNC machining experience or applied trades training
  • Experience operating CNC mills and/or CNC lathes
  • Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of GD&T
  • Knowledge of shop mathematics
  • Experience with machine setups, tooling, offsets, and machining processes
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Siemens Energy equipment certifications
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to pass required medical testing and pre-employment screening requirements

Preferred

  • Associate Degree in Manufacturing Technology or related field
  • Trade school certificate or apprenticeship training
  • Experience with both manual and CNC machining
  • Experience with FANUC, Siemens, or Okuma controls
  • Experience in energy, aerospace, turbine, or heavy industrial manufacturing

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

Sign-On Bonus

$5,000 Sign-On Bonus

  • $2,000 after 3 months
