CNC Machinist – Vertical Milling (Cincinnati, OH)

Blue Chip Tool Co. is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist to join our Vertical Milling Department in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a steady, full-time, first-shift position in a family-owned, fully air-conditioned job shop. 🔧 Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC vertical machining centers (3-axis and 4-axis, FANUC controls).
• Machine precision parts to exact customer specifications in a low-volume, high-precision job shop setting.
• Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Verify setups, dimensions, and tolerances using precision measurement tools.
• Edit G & M code directly at the machine as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

✅ Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience (not just operation).
• Strong background in CNC programming, setup, and operation.
• Ability to work independently on CNC vertical machining centers.
• Proficiency with FANUC controls and 3-/4-axis milling.
• Comfortable in a prototype and production job shop environment.
• Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T, inspection methods, and use of precision tools.
• Detail-oriented, safety-minded, and committed to producing quality parts.

💵 Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $25 – $35/hour (based on experience).

🕒 Schedule

• First shift only
• Flexible start times: 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM
• Monday – Friday, ~8 hours/day
• Occasional Saturday mornings and overtime available
