Why this job is worth considering
Wyoming Machine is a small job shop in Duncan, SC running low-volume, custom work, which means no two days look the same and the person in this seat owns a job from blueprint to finished part. You'll program in Fusion 360, set up, run, and inspect your own work on a Hurco or a Methods mill with a Fanuc control, with no hand-off between programming and the machine. If you want full ownership of your parts rather than running someone else's program all shift, this is built around that.
What you'll be doing
- Program parts in Fusion 360 for 3-axis milling work
- Set up and run your own jobs on a Hurco or Methods mill
- Read and work from standard and metric blueprints
- Select feeds, speeds, tooling, and workholding for the material and job at hand
- Inspect your own parts with standard shop instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.) before they leave your machine
- Troubleshoot program and setup issues as they come up on low-volume, varied work
Machines, controls and software
- Mills: Hurco, Methods
- Control: Fanuc (on the Methods mill)
- CAM: Fusion 360
