The Work You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate horizontal milling machines, vertical milling machines, CNC machines, and speed mills
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Program parts using G-Code and machine-level programming techniques
- Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and process adjustments
- Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments
- Conduct first-article inspections and in-process quality checks
- Maintain machining accuracy and repeatability throughout production runs
- Plan and execute machining operations while determining proper setup sequences
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain quality standards
- Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures

What We're Looking For
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Machinist Certificate or equivalent machining experience
- Experience operating CNC machines and milling equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong shop math skills
- Experience performing inspections using precision measuring tools
- Ability to maintain quality standards and tolerances
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Preferred
- Completion of a machining apprenticeship program
- CNC programming experience utilizing G-Code
- Experience with both horizontal and vertical milling machines
- Experience in energy, heavy industrial, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environments
- Experience performing first-article inspections
