Why This Role Exists

This position exists to support growing demand for high-precision machining and manufacturing across complex, tight-tolerance components. The CNC Machinist will play a key role in producing accurate parts using both manual and CNC equipment while ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery for production and customer-driven projects.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines, including lathes, milling machines, Bridgeport mills, and ProtoTRAK systems
• Program and run jobs using Mastercam and ProtoTRAK controls (as applicable)
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
• Select proper tooling, fixtures, cutting tools, and materials for each job
• Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure tight tolerances and quality standards
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make real-time adjustments to reduce downtime
• Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment readiness
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members on job requirements and process improvements
• Maintain accurate job records including materials, time, and production data
• Support onsite customer machining work when required

• Machines: CNC mills, CNC lathes, Bridgeport mills, manual lathes, ProtoTRAK machines
• Controls: Haas, ProtoTRAK
• CAM Software: Mastercam
• Inspection Tools: Micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, depth gauges, bore gauges

What We’re Looking For

Required

• 5–7+ years of CNC and manual machining experience (preferred minimum)
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC and manual machines
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
• Strong mechanical and mathematical skills (geometry included)
• Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, inserts, and machining accessories
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious work ethic
• English communication skills

Preferred

• Mastercam programming experience
• Experience with Haas and multi-axis machining (e.g., Doosan, Haas multi-axis)
• ProtoTRAK programming experience
• Technical schooling or machining certification
• Experience working in job shop or custom manufacturing environments

Pay Range
