What you'll be doing

• Complete full machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, and offsets
• Edit CNC programs directly at the control (G-code and M-code adjustments)
• Read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T requirements
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for each job
• Machine complex parts to tight tolerances on CNC lathes, CNC mills, and manual equipment
• Use precision measurement tools to check work in process
• Conduct in-process and final inspections
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues with minimal supervision
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation, and coordinate with other departments

Machines, controls and software

Works across CNC lathes, CNC mills, manual mills, and manual lathes, with 3- to 5-axis machining and setups. Experience with common CNC controls is required; CAM programming experience is a plus.

What we're looking for

Required

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
• Minimum 2 years of CNC mill experience
• Minimum 2 years of CNC lathe experience
• 3- to 5-axis machining and setups
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
• Experience with common CNC controls
• Strong problem-solving and math skills
• U.S. citizenship — pursuant to a government contract, this position is not open to foreign nationals or non-U.S. citizens

Preferred

• Manual machining experience
• CAM programming experience
• High school diploma or GED

Pay, benefits and schedule

Pay is up to $40.00 per hour depending on experience, for an expected 40 hours per week.
