This role exists to support increasing production demand and maintain consistent output of precision hydraulic components.
At Custom Design Components, this position plays a key role in producing hydraulic manifolds and CNC-machined components used across agriculture, construction, and industrial equipment, with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and craftsmanship.
The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines to produce precision components
- Load, run, and adjust CNC programs at the machine (Fanuc controls)
- Select tooling, set offsets, and verify workholding setups
- Run production and repeat jobs with consistent quality
- Perform first-article and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain machines and tooling for optimal performance
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet production goals

You’ll work with equipment such as:
- Machines: 3-Axis CNC Mills / Routers
- Controls: Fanuc
- Programming: G-code / M-code (basic editing at machine)
- Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, gauges, measuring instruments

What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Experience with CNC milling (3-axis preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of setups, tooling, and offsets
- Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Understanding of materials and machining behavior
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience with Fanuc controls
- Familiarity with G-code / M-code programming
- Experience with hydraulic components or production machining
- Experience with both manual and CNC machines
