The Work You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision aerospace components
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
- Program and edit CNC lathe programs using G-code
- Select tooling, establish offsets, and verify workholding setups
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize production processes
- Perform routine machine maintenance and preventative care
- Work closely with fellow machinists and quality personnel to meet production schedules
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment

What We're Looking For
Required
- 10+ years of CNC lathe machining experience
- Strong CNC setup, programming, and machine operation skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using precision inspection equipment
- Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, and machining processes
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
- Experience in highly regulated industries
- CNC machining certification or technical training
- CAD/CAM software experience
- Experience programming CNC lathes
- Multi-axis machining experience

$35 – $45 per hour (DOE)
