CNC Lathe Machinist

MRS Machining is a precision CNC lathe and milling job shop with state-of-the-art machinery and tooling. We are a family-owned, 40-year company offering a friendly, clean, air-conditioned work environment where employees matter.

Pay & Schedule

• $25.00-$35.00 per hour, based on experience
• 2nd & 3rd Shift Premium
• Full-Time, 45 to 50 Hours Per Week, 2nd & 3rd Shift. Overtime available.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up, program, adjust, and operate CNC lathes to perform close-tolerance turning and cutting operations
• Operate computer-controlled machines and equipment to manufacture metal components
• Read and follow blueprints, department routings, and shop travelers
• Perform frequent quality checks and accurate measurements to ensure parts meet specifications
• Check inserts and tooling and replace inserts, blades, or cutters as needed
• Communicate any deviations or quality concerns to supervisors
• Participate in cross-training
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• CNC lathe setup and programming knowledge preferred
• CNC machining experience or training preferred
• Mazak experience is a plus
• Experience with precision measuring equipment preferred
• Strong general problem-solving abilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
• High school diploma or GED required
• Vocational/technical education or Machine Tool diploma desired
• Must be 18 years or older
