The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate CNC and manual grinding equipment in a precision machining environment
• Perform surface and precision grinding operations on aerospace components
• Work from blueprints, operation sheets, and work instructions to meet exact specifications
• Make adjustments to offsets and machine parameters to maintain quality
• Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, depth gages, height gages, and dial calipers
• Hold tight tolerances on critical features and surfaces
• Perform in-process inspection to ensure parts meet print requirements
• Support production flow by preparing parts for downstream operations
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve machining and quality issues

Machines, Controls & Software

You’ll work with equipment such as:

• Machines: CNC grinding machines and surface grinders, including Campbell grinders and other precision grinding equipment
• Controls: Fanuc and other CNC control systems depending on equipment
• Inspection Tools: Micrometers, depth gages, height gages, dial calipers, and other precision measuring tools

What We’re Looking For

Required

• 3+ years of CNC grinding or machining experience
• Experience setting up and operating precision grinding equipment or CNC machines
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
• Strong attention to detail and ability to hold tight tolerances
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team-based manufacturing environment

Preferred (Not Required)

• Aerospace manufacturing experience
• Experience with surface grinding or precision grinding operations
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

Pay Range: $28 – $38/hr (DOE)
Pay Notes: 15% shift differential for 2nd shift
