๐ What Youโll Do
- ๐ Program, set up, and run 5-axis CNC mills (Fanuc controls, Matsuura MX330-PC10; majority 3+2, some simultaneous)
- ๐ Take jobs from blueprint to first part, ensuring quality before hand-off to production
- ๐ Assess manufacturability, quote jobs, estimate cycle times, and support scheduling
- ๐ฉ Design and manufacture fixturing, jigs, and inspection tools from scratch
- ๐ป Program using FeatureCAM (open to other CAM software โ you can influence tooling decisions)
- ๐ฅ Work with SolidWorks and Fusion 360 for CAD/CAM integration
- ๐งฉ Provide shop floor technical support, solving problems in real time
- ๐ Drive process improvements to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality
- ๐ฅ Mentor and train machinists as the department grows
โ What Weโre Looking For
- 5+ years CNC milling programming (10+ preferred) in medical device or aerospace manufacturing
- Expertise with Fanuc controls (Matsuura experience a plus)
- Strong fixturing and tooling design skills
- Proficiency in GD&T and blueprint reading
- Experience quoting, estimating cycle times, and assessing manufacturability
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and FeatureCAM
- Familiarity with ISO 13485:2016 and 21 CFR Part 820 (preferred)
- Ability to train, mentor, and lead a growing team
