The Work You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate a variety of CNC-controlled manufacturing equipment
- Perform machining operations on complex energy-industry components
- Operate horizontal boring mills, laser drilling equipment, and 5-axis machining centers
- Load and unload components using cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and manufacturing specifications
- Select tooling and equipment required to perform machining operations
- Perform in-process inspections and quality verification checks
- Follow established manufacturing procedures and quality standards
- Utilize precision measuring equipment and metrology tools
- Support various manufacturing processes including machining, laser applications, heat treatment, bonding, and related operations
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment

What We're Looking For
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of CNC machining or CNC operations experience
- Experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of shop mathematics
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and metrology equipment
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to wear a respirator when required
- Ability to pass Process Operator Competency Testing
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift and crane certifications
- Ability to earn an ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Level or higher)
Preferred
- Experience operating Horizontal Boring Mills
- Experience with 5-axis machining centers
- Laser drilling or laser processing experience
- Coating machine experience
- Experience in power generation, aerospace, energy, or heavy industrial manufacturing
- Multi-process manufacturing experience
