We have several locations across the US and are looking for new Associates to join our team!&nbsp;POSITION PURPOSEResponsible for fabrication and assembly of new machines and repaired parts and equipment designed and built to NY Engineering department. Ensures proper function of equipment and parts when released to Production department.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES&nbsp;<ul><li>Fabrication and assembly of fixtures and components for our packaging and related equipment.</li><li>Supports and assists Production department with technical expertise.</li><li>Responsible for repair and maintenance of production machine parts on an as required basis.</li><li>Assists Production and Maintenance departments with repair of equipment.</li><li>Makes necessary repairs to damaged or worn production equipment parts.</li><li>Continually seeks improvements in the fabrication process as well as the production machinery.</li><li>Supports a regular and consistent clean-up time on a weekly basis.</li><li>Supports Liquid dept. and Warehouse with repair to damaged equipment.</li></ul>PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS&nbsp;<ul><li>The ability to work with blueprints</li><li>Knowledge of CNC machine operation.</li><li>Knowledge of feature cam.</li><li>To assemble machinery and machine components.</li><li>Knowledge to use all of the machine shop tools to complete parts for fabrication.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONSTo perform his function with minimal supervision from the engineering manager and mechanical engineer.EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:<ul><li>Trade School Diploma</li></ul>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:<ul><li>Basic math skills</li><li>Bearing fitting and blue print reading</li><li>Welding, drilling &amp; tapping</li><li>Setup and drawing using feature cam of CNC milling machines</li><li>Setup and operation of CNC lathe</li><li>Setup and operation of conventional lathe</li><li>Setup and operation of conventional Milling machine</li><li>Surface grinders</li><li>Cutting &amp; bending sheet metal</li><li>Torque settings of various fasteners</li><li>Shop safety</li><li>5 years’ experience in parts fabrication, assemble, of machinery and parts using all the aforementioned equipment.</li></ul>SKILLS/ABILITIES:<ul><li>Must be able to move bilaterally right and left</li><li>Must be able to stand for up 7 hours per/day</li><li>Must be able to walk continuously to service machinery</li><li>Must be able to bend, squat, kneel as needed</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds</li><li>Must be steady on the foot</li><li>Must be able to handle and grasp up to 50 pounds</li></ul>WORKING CONDITIONS<ul><li>No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions</li></ul>SALARY RANGE<ul><li>$65,000 - $75,000, plus bonus</li></ul>PDI is pleased to offer a comprehensive and affordable benefits program to our associates, which includes:<ul><li>Medical &amp; prescription drug coverage</li><li>Dental / Vision plan</li><li>401(k) savings plan with company match</li><li>Basic and supplemental life insurance</li><li>Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)</li><li>Short- and long-term disability benefits</li><li>Health Advocacy Program / Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li></ul>Many other voluntary benefit plans such as: Legal assistance, critical illness, hospital indemnity and accident coverage, discounted home/auto/rental insurance, employee discounts and pet insurance.At PDI, we are also committed to helping our associates maintain a healthy and sustainable work/life balance and are proud to provide:&nbsp; Sick leave, generous vacation and holiday time, paid parental leave, summer hours, flex place/flex time options.
